on the verge of something big

that conversations movement is on the cusp of something big.

We’ve been quietly plugging away in our first 18 months, running 38 events and hosting 34 podcast episodes. We’ve had over 380 people taking part in almost 600 conversations.

A good start, but there’s huge potential for what comes next.

As we’ve grown, we’ve noticed something interesting. People often ask whether our events are all about having deep, vulnerable chats, or if they’re meant to mend broken relationships.

So we stopped and had a think. It’s not quite what we’re about.

Back to the drawing board we went, with some fantastic input from a group of Digital Marketing students at Robert Gordon University.

Our messaging to date has talked about “deepening your relationships” and having “intentional conversations”. Lovely notions, but if we’re honest, a little vague and bland. They didn’t really capture what people actually experience when they come along to an event.

So, we’ve made some changes.

We’ve given our website a fresh new look and rewritten how we describe our events.

Now, the message is clearer.

We are a movement of more human moments.

We offer space for conversations that bring people closer.

Our events are simple, screen-free, and meaningful.

It’s all about putting your phone away and spending real, quality time with someone you already know.

A friend, a partner, a family member.

You move through a few guided activities that help you talk, listen, and reflect on what you mean to each other.

You learn, appreciate, and remember — and ultimately, you leave feeling a little closer.

Typically, our attendees tell us:

“I wasn’t sure what I was signing up to, but I’ve really enjoyed the conversations, and I’m keen to have more of them.”

Hopefully, our new messaging can help with that first bit.

Because really, what we’re offering a chance to put our phones down and be more present with each other.

We’re on the verge of something with huge potential. The best part is, we’re just getting started.

Will you be part of it?
